Hi everyone. My brake lights (on recently purchased Jeep) are not working so I called Auto Zone & they told me it was probably the brake light switch as I had already checked all the fuses. I purchased the switch, read my Haynes manual & proceeded to swap it out. While under the dash, I noticed a loose wire connection. It has one red & one blue wire. The blue wire is broken off at the connection. The loose connection looks almost identical to the one that is already plugged in to the switch. My question is this: Is the "loose connection" supposed to go to the switch also. In other words, should the switch have TWO sets of connections plugged in to it? If so, how do I fix the broken wire?
