I just fixed both left and right sockets on my 2000 Intrigue last week. I had problems with both the turn signals and park lamps (these are in the same bulb) up front not working. Both the socket and in a connector was bad (the wire harness was ok).
I had several pins in the connector on the back of the headlight assembly, that the wire harness plugs into, to come loose and push down into the connecter. I got a pair of needle nose pliers and gently pulled them back in place. After repeating this several times for the same pins, I notice I had to slightly bend them straight and plug the connector pack in slow and easily so it would not push the pins down again - no telling how long this will last until they vibrate loose again.
On one socket, without disassembling it, I was able to stick a small screw driver and bend the metal contact out to make the bulb wire make contact with the socket contact. The other one was not so easily fixed:
Now for disassembling the light socket, instead of replacing the socket I was able to disassemble the socket by using and exacto knife to cut through the epoxy on the back of the connector. Once disassembled I saw that due to overheating, the plastic had melted causing the brass or copper wire connector to move and loose contact with the wire on the light bulb. I used two needle nose players to bend this more (did this in several small steps to make sure I didn't bend it too much).
So far the above has worked well.......
