It's funny you mention that hose thing now...i talked to my neighbor and he said it was the MAP sensor so i went and bought it trusting him and when i went to replace it i saw that the hose was all cracked and dry rotted like you said...I replaced the hose and the MAP sensor anyways and it still does it...so now im told that i have to go in and reset the computer because it is showing that it is running to lean(meaning too much air it getting in)
