Well today I purchased a LB9 motor for my car, because my V6 blew a head gasket. The motor has 187,000 miles, so that gives me all winter to rebuild it
I found it in a junkyard, and the engine was still in the Iroc. All thats missing is the computer, I checked the oil for antifreese and smelled it for any burnt smell, and since all those turned up negative and it was actually holding oil (meaning there wasnt a hole in the side of the block
) I purchased it.
I got:
LB9 (305 TPi)
700R4 (Automatic 4-Speed)
All the wiring
Radiator (Aluminium)
Fans (Dual Setup)
And every single hose thats connected to anything above
And in case you were wondering, its the second fastest engine that was offered in the 3rd gen F-Bodies (fastest being the L98 - 350 TPi).
