  • You said you built this car to go smack around ricers on the street. That ≠ maturity, and lends me to believe you're going to drive like a retard
  • Your friends sweet camaro with a bored out 350 makes 350 horsepower, best case scenario
  • The fact that you can say "I have complete control of the car" when all you've driven is a mildly modded 5.0 and a camaro when you're thinking of building a 1000 horsepower car just shows how little experience you have

Let me put things in perspective for you. In 1997 I bought an S-trim for my 5.0 coupe. windsor jr. heads, ported cobra intake, full exhaust, a tiny little 210/215 comp cam, and a world class T5. It made 470 RWHP and 415 RWTQ. It went low 11's at 124 on slicks. The 393 you're talking about building will do that on motor, no problems. If you downshifted and brought the revs up too high on the highway to pass somebody when you wern't paying the best attention it would pitch the car sideways across both lanes of traffic. I had experience with several fast cars before, and I felt woefully inadequate to jump into that for a street car. My last car was another notch with an R-block 306, AFR's, and a T76-GTS. At 16 psi it made just a pinch over 700 RWHP. Still less than the roughly 800-850 RWHP that you're thinking of. I got into this car after I daily drove my 470 RWHP notch for about 4 years. I typically drove it at 8 psi because 16 genuinely was frightening on the street. On 17" street radials you had to fight to keep it straight clear through 100 MPH. Your buddies sweet camaro with a bored out 350 never did that, and you have no idea what it's like. Go look on SVTperformance.com for that cobra driver. 600 RWHP in a car about 600 pounds heavier than a fox body. He gives it too much gas around a corner, is inexperienced like you so he doesn't know what do to, and he plows into a ton of other cars. Picture a lighter more spin happy car with 250 more RWHP and you can see where you're headed
