I'll have to start moving towards some performance mods when I have this baby handling even more supremely than that of what she already does..
when pontiac introduced the rear disc they had the best stopping power in 79 and for their time. i already did a conversion on mine with factory parts and i'm very, and i mean very happy with it.if you don't want to change the diff, i'd just slide out the axles and change the rest.
about the scoop, i'd probably get a scoop that came with a 403 olds and try and get that installed. the hood opening on a 72 is different though than the other years, as far as i know. earlier scoops were a bit more roundish...so i guess you have to try and see.and if you want to replace the springs contact the source i told you. tell them all the specs your car has and they will match the best springs for you. they are not a one over the counter store. you'll be happy that you bought from them,guaranteed...
