best thing to do is get a complete rebuild kit. Find yoursefl a shop manual and make sure EVERY spec is right. If the coolant o-ring is gone then chances are that your irons are warped (need new ones) then any machining o the surfices and whatnot.
Personaly i woudl not take on rebuilding one (unless its just to learn) because chances are that when you put that motor back into the car it wont last long. Thats the reason why everyone looks for a rotary mechanic thats good. But the problem with most people is that they dont want to spend the money where it counts.
