Yes, that may very well be the problem since the alarm would most likely be wired in the same circuit that controls the fuel pump. Whatever they find the problem to be please let us know. Also when they pull the pump from the tank and replace with the AC Delco have them bench check, just hook to up to 12v, the one that was pulled and see if it really is working or burnt up.
