I'll get some pics when I find my cam, but here is the jist of it...
1) Unhook neg cable from battery
2) Pop the front panel off covering the radio,cluster.. it just pops right off (not too technical, please feel free to add info here)
3) Unscrew the two bolts holding in the instrument cluster cover, and two under the dash holdign it down there.
4) Drop your blazer into 1st, and push your hazzard switch down (you'll have to turn your key and press the brake real hard , and drop the tilt all the way down. (you might have to really lean on your brakes to do a little shimmy)
5) Carefully and gently pull the cluster out, it will come out with a bit of play, remove the 4x4 switch and any other conenctors you feel you would like to remove (I left everything attached, except for the 4x4 switch, changed my bulbs too...)
6) Now you have access to your radio, undo the four bolts holoding it in two top and two bottom (you may want to remove the climate control too, gives you soem room to move cables around once you've installed your radio)
7) remove your radio, install new one with proper dash insert, ect, then just reverse this processs.
It took me about 1hr to do it properly, I also had to take a hack saw to enlarge the dash area for the radio, the aftermarket system was a few inches longer, and it made for a perfect area for the cables to lay out of the way.
Phew... I'll get pics for this weekend.
Xpc... truck still running... better catch it...
