Some guy in a delivery truck, for large panels of glass, was changing lanes in an intersection and hit my brother. Did some damage to the front of my Dad's Lumina APV (fiberglass body). The police officer that witnessed the accident said it was the truck driver's fault and wrote that in the accident report.
So he called our insurance company they said "you need to contact the glass companies insurance." Then he called the glass companies insurance and gave them three quotes (dealer, all-collision pro, and some other body shop). There response was "It was your fault." after consulting accident report and another phone call "Your van isn't worth that much."
Its been probably over a year and he still haven't seen one dime...
I have since thought about locating the insurance company and getting the money by force... but I'm really lazy and it's not my money to begin with.
