There was a guy on this forum that gave a starting price of $795 for a complete retrofit with HID, and that was without brighter lights, angel eyes, and various other upgrades. And I'm not saying it won't work, it'll just look much more like an OEM HID light with the projector. The main reason why I'm looking into that is because it's less noticable to the police, and changing any lighting on your car isn't exactly legal. Normally I wouldn't spend the money either, but fortunately I happen to have a friend who is quite "financially stable" and is upgrading the lighting in his 05 M3 from the stock 4500K to 8000K, and giving me all the stuff that comes out.

Nice, sounds like you're getting a good deal. I get what you mean, with HID projectors it will look closer to stock than aftermarket. Believe me, I love that look too. My uncle has an '05 Acura TL and I love the way his Xenons look at night.
