Are you sure that it's just not originally based on a 3S-GTE? Is it possible that the 3S-GTE was developed into the 503E (for racing purposes)?

It's very easy to get confused on the matter, since a few Japanese modified cars (Supras), like the Top Secret one, are installing 3S-GTE's into their Supras and are claiming that it's based on the JGTC car.
