My original problem was the intermittent door locks, and the battery would be dead in the morning some times. Apparently the way the door locks by wearing down after several on-off tries is normal, per GM mechanic. However, what was causing the battery to go dead and the door locks to be intermittent (not work at all, sometimes, not even with the clicker)was a bad door lock activator switch. Click your switches. They should have a firm response. One of mine felt mushy, (apparently never totally releasing) and after a replacement, no more dead battery, and my locks work! Hope this helps!
