Door speakers

I discovered the same thing in my '98. speakers with foam rot, and no replacements available. Crutchfield will throw in a plastic adapter when you buy speakers from them. If you google search different terms you can find a company that will also sell the plastic adapter rings. I forgot the exact search terms I used.(sorry). I ended up fabricating my own adapters from 1/4" baltic birch plywood. It is probably stiffer than any plastic ring, and should be avaiable locally. The real pain is making sure you get the polarity right when you splice into the mopar wiring in the door. otherwise you will lose bass response.
