Ever wash your civic?
Ever notice that after you wash it, and of course, clean the windows, that if you roll it down then back up, the windows are wet?
Funny thing about 5th and 6th gen civics...there aint too much keeping the outside crap out from inside the door panel. Betcha the window started to stick when you cranked it, or the motor did, before it popped track huh?
Now, I could be full of crap...but...after torching and bending, and eventually replacing, 3 window regulator arms in my 2 past hatches (92, and 97 respectively) I've come to realize that the window, arm, and track are fine...it's the weather stripping that doesn't work worth a damn.
The cold doesn't cause the problem, the salt, snow, and ice that makes its way into your door does.
The cheap "grease" that is used to lubricate the door eventually runs off the very bare, very untreated metal that makes your window work.
Take off the panel, get up in there, clean the thing out with some WD-40 then put some clean heavy grease on there and work it into the arm and the pivot. Good to go...until it washes out again...give it a year.
If that don't fix it....well damn...
PM me if you need help getting the door apart.
