Hey taurusforus, I looked under there this evening. It's been over 2 yrs since I had it fixed, at this point I'm not sure what I saw back then. Best I can figure out I have a grayish plastic module near the center heater duct, many wires coming out. I can see a splice in one of them that does not look like a factory splice and it is grounded to the dash frame. The wire color is red/wht stripe. Please don't take this as gospel and go cutting wires based on this, I don't want to cause more headaches. The shop I went to only charged like 20 bucks to do it. It might be worth a phone call or two. I just called around local shops. Sorry i can't be more specific/certain. Quick story about my alarm problem; wintertime, i have no driveway, an't park in street when it snows so i park in my neighbors driveway. 2 am the damn things going off, i'm yanking on my boots when the phone rings "i think the car is going off". They still like me....
