The rattling noise is more than likely something was left loose. I have seen brake pads installed backwards before. We had a customer with a Sante Fe, we recommended front brakes to him, and he didn't like our price, so he replaced them himself, and the noise was still there. He brought it back to us. First, he didn't turn the rotors, and he had the pads installed upside down. (the curve of the pad was opposite of the curve of the rotor, if you know what I mean). So he ended up paying us to do the job correctly anyways. You might want to try another dealer though and see what they say.
