To install a heli-coil , you have to drill out the hole a little bigger then turn in the heli-coil and seat them when in all the way, by tapping on the three outer pins driving them in. This coil will now be your threads. You need access to drill it out and you have to drill straight. You might need some "mechanical guy" help on this one.
If the tranny shop loosened the bolt that is stripped to do the work they did, go back and rag on them for not telling you, and then get them to fix it!!
