The supra motor used in the JGTC is the 503E. No relation to the 3SGTE other than they are both 4 cylinder and turbo.
I think the best I4 from japan for high hp applications is the mitsu 2 liter turbo in the eclipse, and lancer evo. I mean you get like 270+ hp in stock form in the Evos.
