I appreciate everyone's comments so far. They really inspire me to work on this thing as hard as I can. Here are some pictures of the "finished" block. I left out some details from the real motor because it cluttered it up. This is a show like street rod, and I would have done the same thing if this were full scale.
It still needs some more sanding, I've only hit it with 220 right now. Once I figure out how I want to build my Gilmer belt drive I will build the timing gears, chain, and cover on the fave of the block. I need to order some small bolts to bolt everything together. Any where you see a deep hole has to be tapped and threaded for a 00-90 bolt. For now, here are the pictures and I hope you enjoy.
Yes, that is a bullet holding the engine up. A 22caliber shell proved to be the correct size to hold up engine while taking pictures.
