replacing an oilpan is an easy thing to do, imo. I've done it before, sometimes, its just a lil messy. If you replace the oilpan, at least you'll have replaced the oil pan gasket with it .
Other than than you could always try drilling the plug out, but then theres the chance that shavings could get into the pan and you'd have to take it off anyways just to clean it out . I say just replace it
