Got somewhat of a difficult problem. It first started happening when I went to a friends. Went in, came out, tried to start, usually all I had to do was turn the switch and let go, and it would start, but it didn't. The engine would crank, but that was it. The car only sat for a few minutes, so it was still hot, and hot outside, and just rained earlier. It sounded like a fuel problem, to both of us, so I pulled the lines off the fuel rail. (I didn't know the Shrader valve was hidden under the cover). No fuel pressure, with key on or off. Well, I got it towed to my brother-in-law, who is pretty good with electrical stuff. He got in and it started right up. Drove it for quite a while and no problems. I went and got it, drove it home, all fine, not even a miss. My wife took it to work, no problem. Then she went to her mom's, they went to eat, and it would not start again. It had rained a little bit before this also. Now, the left rear window was down, and would not go up. None of the power windows would go up or down, but the dome light would dim, and you could hear a click by the glovebox (relay???). Press the electric door locks, and the dome light would go out and come back on after the lock button was released. I don't remember them actually locking, I think they did not.Now, it would start up after a bit, and run for less then a minute and die. If it started and the power windows button was pressed, it died immediately. So, I got it towed back to b-i-l's.
He checked fuel pressure, sometimes it was good, sometimes low. It would start or not, with it still with good pressure. He checked a lot of the wiring, and other things like relays and what not.
The windshield has a leak, and it would come down behind the rearview mirror, and drip inside. It could also drip down behind the dash by the firewall, but I don't know. My b-i-l said one time there was smoke rolling out the dash, and I think he said it was the interior light switch/resistor. He disconnected it and it was not the problem, whatever it was.

Does anyone know about this connector? It is actually UNDER the carpet? I see about it having the fuel pump AND power windows run thru it. Coincidence? Bad connector? Stupid spot for a connector, gotta be.
Anyone have experience with this problem? My b-i-l told me a lot of the things he tried, to fix it. If you need any info, let me know. I appreciate any help you all can give, thx
