One possibility for a stuck down window is it has gone too far down. They have a limiting device or tab. Remove the door panel (easy to do) and check the window. Put your hand under the bottom and try to push it up. If it moves a half inch or so, then go try the switch. If that turns out to be the problem, it can be fixed, but it may just be easier to not put the window down all the way. It can be left up a quarter inch above the "sill" and will work fine. To avoid further incidents of this, I simply unplugged the cable inside the door panel that goes to the window motor. I could drill a hole in the frame somewhere and put in a limiting bolt but I didn't bother. What happens is the gear that drives the window slips a tooth. It will still be OK when fully raised, but will go down to the point the limit switch removes power from it. It is worth taking the door panel off and having a look.
