You can get a replacement lock cylinder from Ford for less than 50.00. Here's the deal: The front part of the key is the part that unlocks the ignition. The back part of the key opens the doors. There are aprox 3 or 4 different keys. Bring your key to the parts dept. and they'll set you up with the corect cylinder.

To get the old cylinder out: Have the key in the cylinder, there is a hole in the collum under the cylinder that you will stick a slender object up and push the release on the cylinder. I forget what position the cylinder needs to be. The parts guy might be able to help you out.
