Oh, as for the whole pricing thing. The B16 should run you about $1600 or so to purchase, and as for swapping it in, I don't know the price. A couple hundred dollars more for the B18C motor. And the H22, you will need to purchase motor mounts, axles, tranny. But it should run you about 3K, but it is oh so worth it for straightline performance.
As for the installing on each of those, it depends where you take it to. But if you have a garage and all the right tools, it is definitely worth your time and money to do it yourself.

never said you did just wanted to chime in about the 4th gens me knowing them better then most of you spoiled 5th genners and your big bays
why would you pick a b16 for boosting? GSR would walk it LS with b16 tranny would walk it i had a b16 it was peppy but hitting 4K just to get off at a stop light gets old fast. sure it would go ok with F/I but why not start with a better platform i know i regret the time and money i spent on that and my a6 compaired to my new set up
