I wouldn't take the chance unless you don't mind eventually paying for a tranny overhaul. Owner's manual says up to max of 1000 lbs (1/2 ton). You'd have to add a tranny oil cooler and there is no guarantee the 4T65E tranny will hold up without suffering damage which may not show until later. Sounds like the trailer alone might weigh up to 1000 lbs.
