It is a simple enough process if you know what you are doing for they come with no instructions..also you want to make sure you get a good kit with a heavier lb solonoid (shop around and you will see what I mean) because a cheaper kit may or may not open the door correctly all the time (parked on hills, slants and winter weather). Also if you have the time and money it sometimes is a smart idea to run a parallel battery from something small say a motorcylce battery in the trunk or something because if you leave your lights on and the battery goes dead..well I'm sure you are going to want to be able to get into your vehicle to pop that hood for a jump. I live in VA and I do fiberglass work and have installed these on a Sol before if you need anything. Anyways, good luck..oh and never believe or admire anything you see on a Automotive show that comes on MTV with a washed up rapper that knows nothing about automobiles as a host....Hope I helped ya
