90 B2200 CAT ??s

My truck ia a 90 B2200 w/Carb, Automatic, 200K miles -- I have a couple of questions:
1) This truck has two catalytic converters - one just below the exhaust manifold and one under the truck in front of the muffler. I believe both are the original converter. The truck has lost power and I can hear the front converter rattle when accelerating. So I guess it is time to replace it ( them ). Do I need to replace both converters?? or can I get just one "universal" type converter. Also, why does the truck use two converters?? Is there a difference in the catalyst inside ??

2) When looking down at the bottom of the radiator from the front of the truck you can see the cooling lines for the transmission. Which line is the return line to the transmission?? The left or right line ?? I am thinking of adding a transmission cooler.

Thanks
