it is quite possible you car had more than 1 stored code - if they were quick to read the first code (the 02 sensor - which you've since replaced)- but didn't let it cycle to the next code (the KS) it's possible you are still having issues with the KS. it is also possible (although unlikely) that soon after the 02 was replaced the KS went. In any case i would think if the ecu were storing codes it would flash them off in ascending order - in which case i believe the KS would have flashed it's code before the 02 would have...
in any case - if you TRULY do have a KS issue - you'll want to have it fixed - if the KS triggers a CEL, your ecu pretty much pulls timing in order to protect the engine from detonation and other bad things associated with knocks/pings. so you lose performance. if you replace it - you should see a marked increase (well back to stock, but better than you are experiencing now) in performance.
hope that makes sense. in any case - learn to read the codes yourself (; trust me - then you're not wasting your time and money replacing sensors that may or may not have to be replaced because some joe smoe at whateva autoshop tells you - you have to. obd2 i understand it's more costly to pull the codes yourself... but obd1 it's so simple there is really no excuse (;
i'm going away for the weekend - but if you guys want a write-up with pictures on how to pull the code on your 92 - 95 ludes let me know and i can do one up w/ pictures when i get back...
