I'd pick a date when the California Lotto jackpot was over $100 million - then go back with the winning numbers and buy a ticket the day before the drawing.
...or else I'd go back to the day before the 9/11 attack and warn anyone who'd listen (even though they'd think I was crazy and probably have me arrested).
