I know what you mean about crows. I live 5mins walk away from my old high school. When school holidays rock round (like now) the crows shift back out towards my place as there isnt any food to scab out of the school bins.
I find a slingshot and a shite load of ball bearings/sinkers does the job to get rid of them.
