Heads up on bad Vaccum lines not uncommon

I was looking for a bad vaccum lines one day and I reached done along side the Thermostat housing and pulled the lines up so I could observe there condition a little easier. Well when I looked at there condition I was in instint horror, they were all so dry rotted that they were crumbling just by touching them and it turns out they haven't been connected in a while. I don't know what this did for the car, it has been acting up for a while now but this didn't fix the problem but I feel better knowing that I had some broken lines and now there fixed. The three that were broken ran to the throttle body and to the ISC housing under the throttle body. I have looked on another Talon and found the exact same problem so I'm thinking that this may be common. The reason that they get so badly dry rotted is because they run right along side the Head, practicly touching if they aren't. If you find yourself needing to change these lines be EXTRA CAREFUL when it comes to the connectors/adapters that connect the lines the thermostat housing, they break very easily especialy the yellow connector on the housing, I broke this one.
