This is my completed Aoshima Top Secret R34. It's my 2nd attempt at modeling so please take it easy on me haha
! Anyways, more about this build. The body and wheels were painted tamiya ts-21. I used mesh to create the carbon fibre pattern on the hood, trunk, rear diffuser, and spoiler. I also scratchbuilt 2 sets of seatbelts for the interior (very time consuming
).
Rants:
This was my first time working with so many decals and I had a little trouble with them. They can get a bit overwheming. CFing using mesh was hard since the parts (ie hood) had a lot of bends. The spoiler was also hard to fit on. The rear diffuser looks great though
Kit feedback:
I thought that this kit was very good quality and easy to assemble compared to my first model. I liked the spring suspension because it made it really easy to adjust the ride height (no more cursing!
) The body had very little mold lines so I guess that saved me some work in the beginning. I think I'll be building more aoshima kits in the future.
