For 1990 A4LD
- In O/D = 10" Hg vacuum
- In 3rd gear = over 45 mph should shift into 2nd when selector moved from D to 2nd.
- If going over 45 mph and in O/D and selector is moved from O/D or D to 1 (closed throttle) it should shift down to 2nd greer and if below 30 mph it should downshift into 1st
- For a coastdown from 45 mph in D and throttle closed the downshift sequence is as follows: converter clutch unlocks eletronically when the accelerator is released, as vehicle slows down, 4-3, 3-2 and finally 2-1 downshifts happen.
