Here is the deal, I recently bought a used 96 model Neon, SOHC with a steel fuel tank. I filled the tank up around noon and not 3 hours later the tank was down to 3/4 of a tank. I drove it only 15 miles from work which could not account for a fuel loss of some 3 gallons.
I noticed fuel a fuel smell and fuel dripping from underneath the right side rear seat. I removed a panel from under neath the car and saw fuel spilling from a ruptured rubber plug at the fuel pump. The fuel pump runs well, I just need this rubber plug (jury-rigged replacement is underway) and I do not want to shell out $150+ for a small rubber piece (which is the drain plug on the fuel pump I believe according to my manual).
Anyone know if I can buy them online? Or is a JY a better bet?
