If it runs smooth , don't worry about it. His engine had such a high vacuum at that very high rpm, that when his throttle plates closed, the vacuum sucked raw fuel through his idle circuit in his carbeurator, and it was WAY too rich to burn properly in the engine, but by the time it got to the hot exhaust pipe and clean air behind the tailpipe, it was time to burn baby! Mycar did the same thing. All the time.
