Alright well, as is, the Theftlock system on it hasn't went haywire or anything. The console is open where the factory stereo was AT, I've already spliced up the wires, got em ready to wire in the JVC. More or less, the plastic console is off, the factory st. is out, the plug is cut and the wires hangin out the console.
However, the issue is with the factory plug/putting a unit in the trunk so as the TLS doesn't freak out. WHERE in the trunk is there a plug to put the unit AT in there? I'm guessing I can go buy another plug for the factory stereo which I cut off to splice the wires/new stereo in, re-attach it to the factory, put IT in the trunk and the JVC in the console.
I'm not exactly believing or buying this stuff about you having to leave the factory radio where its at, and plug the unit you want into the trunk. That doesn't really make sense at all, meaning, unless you had a CD changer deck mounted back there and usable by remote, you're pretty much unable to HAVE a single disc CD player, cause you're not gonna fold the back seat down or stop and pop the trunk and change discs to switch CD's everytime you want. That makes no type of sense at all.
Does anyone have those OEM color codes so I can figure out whats what for this?
