Check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder. The light will come on when the fluid level gets toward the minimum line and sloshes around a bit when driving. Actually remove the cap and look in there. Many times old brake fluid will stain the insides of the translucent master cylinder causing it to look full, when it is not.
