The MM stuff comes from Smooth-On. The resin is, I believe, the SO 300. You can't get much better than the SO300. The RTV is "Oomoo 40", which is something even SO doesn't recommend but it's cheap and good for making parts in a hurry. I didn't have the problems you describe when using the 300 white, perhaps your ratios and mixing are a little off. Resin is also an adhesive, so if your parts aren't dried all the way I can see how they'd stick to your storage cups.

The SO321 is the off-white/tan stuff, but I haven't found much of a difference between it and the 300 except that it's slightly cheaper. Don't confuse the 321 with the old slimy tan resin that you find in earlier resin kits. I'm not sure of the story behind those but I haven't seen parts made from those in a while except at a swap meet vendor selling all kinds of old resin stuff.
