I've begun the install on this yesterday but couldn't finish in time. Now my girlfriend is pissed. I'm off today so I've been trying to finish it, however I cannot find an OEM wiring diagram for the color coding of the factory wires so I can match them up with my JVC CD player.

We just purchased a JVC KD-S31 MP3/CD/WMA player and the faceplate kit to fit for it. That's all put together and ready, wires on both the new harness and the factory harness are twisted up(I cut the plug off the factory and I'ma wire it to the new cd player's wiring harness which lists everything making that at least east) waitin to be taped, the electrical tape's sittin in the seat, but I'm not messin with that til someone can put me onto some type of help.

This morning, the whole instrument panel lit up, AB/Air bags/check eng./etc . Though I just left the wires comin out the console, I'd imagine the ground hit another wire cause the inside dome lights/acc. lights don't work currently anymore since I yanked the factory radio out.

But this is what I need, can someone put me onto the OEM color codes or a stereo wiring diagram for the '00 Sunfire? There's a site that everyone refers to but I can't recall the address off the top, but those colors don't match up to the wires IN our Sunfire.


I know its smarter to go out and buy a harness that plugs in and eliminate the gruff, but its one of those check-to-check months and I've finally gotten the chance to get the faceplate kit for the stereo and I've decided to put it in now while I got a chance.

I'm going out in a sec to write down the factory colors I HAVE on the wires, then run down the JVC's coding.

InstallDR and 12volt's charts don't match up as I've written them down, went out to finish the install and got stumped as the colors do not match up.
