Code p1756 is GOV Press Not Equal to Target, The requested pressure and the actual pressure are within a tolerance band for the Governor Control System. This is used to regulate gov pressure to control shifting to 1st 2nd and 3rd gear which is pretty much exactly what you explained when you are in drive. its also commonly referred to as a Mid Pressure Malfunction.
