Sorry for my ignorance, but do both models run the same size tires? Same transmission and are both 4-wheel drive?

I'm so confused when it comes to options sometimes on these rigs, because I, in the past had a 91 XS Rodeo - it was an automatic 4x4 with air conditioning, upgraded tires/wheels, luggage rack, cruise control, but no other options. No power windows, locks, etc.

Then my 97 Rodeo is listed as an S/LS model - what ever that's supposed to mean! It is the standard 3.2L V6, automatic loaded with everything except, it's not a 4x4.

So I'm confused at the options available - not only that, they didn't have the EX or LX model names when I bought mine.
