if you are not wanting to do a full swap, the y8 head is a good idea, but if you can find a Full D16Y8 Swap (tranny and all) do it. this should be under $1,000 (more like $700) and only a days time to do, if you know what you are doing, which i dont- LOL
while you are doing that you may as well build intenal, cams ect... anyway the full d16y8 should be a complete drop in and cheap
peacing together a turbo setup sounds real great but it is not as easy as every one says. there is many things to worry about, oil lines, turbo manifold, the actaul turbo, blow off valves, pipeing (can get from the exaust shop). this takes a little know how.
this will end up being over $1500
as for the exaust you just need somthing high flow. maybe $350
about $3000 total.
i am not an expert, far from it actauly.
and it is possible that i am retarded also

if this thing has any power you will need a new suspetion also.
