First try changing the oil in your transmission. I believe that it requires ATF fluid, but check your owners manual first. If someone has changed it before there is a good chance that they used regular manual trandsmission fluid.
Someone may have towed it at some time with the back wheels on the ground which fries the transmission bearings. Even on your standard.
You might have run it out of oil too.
There is a good chance that someone will have to pull the transmission and replace all the bearings. And really hope that you don't have any more damage.
