I'm not saying that the others aren't good, but I am saying that the GM trucks are no better or worse than the rest of the bunch. GM has issued like 3 recalls on our trucks since the beginning of the year, and they are taking care of their own. I may be wrong, and maybe the piston slap happens all the time to those of you who it happens to, but what I keep reading says "Cold start/Cold weather piston slap." All 9 of my other cars and trucks that I have owned over the years have done exactly the same thing, though. GM has issued recalls on their known problems, but all I was trying to do is point out that they ALL have problems.
