i think your talking about cleaning the secondaries. The IMRC (Intake Manifold Runner Control) is actually an electrical unit controlled by the pcm that opens the secondary butterflies. However, because the secondaries open at 3750 rpm's, they due tend to gunk up with carbon. Its pretty simple. Just remove the 6 upper intake manifold bolts, and the intake manifold will pull up to expose the lower intake manifold which is what you want to clean. I think youll need an 8 mm socket for the lower intake manifold to remove. But once its off just take some carb cleaner and tooth brush and clean all the carbon gunk off of it. Its not hard at all.
