When painting with acrylics you have a few options. When using acrylics I personally like to just use a sealer, you can spray it with your airbrush and it is does wonders, esspecially if you clear coat it with a lacquer based clear paint.
If you are interested in buying it there is a store called "fix line" and you may get good clear lacquer paints from Ace.
