somehow, through moisture or just by being old, the fabric attached to the roof of the car has detached and is concaving in the cabin itself...

now the fabric is fine it is just detached from the roof and I would like to reattach it however I don't want there to be any visible damage to the fabric itself.

does anyone have any suggestions on how I could repair this?

also - whenever I accelerate there is a large clunking sound and vibration coming from the engine-area in the car. I have checked into this problem and I believe it may be a broken engine mount OR the front-left drive shaft... now I'm not too mechanically inclined so any enlightenment on this issue would also be helpful, all suggestions are welcome.

PS: not sure if this will help but I am driving the car with a blown tranny (hard shift into 3rd gear) so basically i'm driving it in 2nd until I know I am past 3rd gear and then I shift into OD.

one more thing - whenever I go over a bump or turn my wheel either way my car make a noticeable sound (kind of like the sound u hear when turning your wheel when the car isn't moving) - i believe it may be coming from my shocks and was wondering if i could lubricant to get rid of this noise or if it even sounds like a problem with the shocks at all?
WOW! Hope you don't plan on keeping this car very long.

Anyway, the noises from the suspension sound like your CV joint(s).

Fabric adhesive is commercially available for gluing your roof fabric back to the roof liner. You have to remove the inside roof molding to get to it. I pulled the ceiling light out once and sprayed some glue around inside but it only held for a short while.

Good Luck,
Steve
