well, if youre looking for an old fasioned metal oil filter, your gonna be looking till the car rots away. The oil filter on the ecotec is located on the front driver side of the engine. Look for a black plastic lid with a 1" hex head on it. use a socket to unscrew that lid. When it comes out it is going to remove the plastic and paper cartridge oil filter that the ecotecs use. the cartridge filter snaps out of the plastic lid, you throw it away, and snap the new one in and then screw the lid and filter back into the engine.

Also, not to sound like a dick, but have you looked at the owners manual? I would imagine that information, and perhaps even a picture of what im talking about should be in there.
