Re: 2.7 vs 3.5 engine swap

In first generation Intrepid's, they ran a 3.3 liter, 1998-2004, they had the 2.7 liter. Bizzy102 is right, it's not going to work, if you had a '97 Intrepid, then yes, same motor just needs mods to the intake manifold. Depends on how much money you have available but there are a few options you have: 1) find another 2.7 liter and stick it in their; either rebuilt, brand new, or used [personally, I wouldn't go used, it could be in worse shape then your engine currently is] 2) Get a 3.2/3.5 liter motor and stick that in there. You'll need to do some mods as well, like reposition your A/C compressor, power steering pump, you'll need a new computer and that should work for you.
